Girl Scout History
Girl Scout Mission
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
The Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try
to serve God and my country,
to help people at all times,
and to live by the Girl Scout Law.

The Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for waht I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.

History
Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, Girl Scouts' membership has grown from 18 girls in Savannah, GA to 3.4 million members throughout the United States and in more than 90 countries through USA Girl Scouts overseas. In Girl Scouting, girls discover their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world, connect by caring about, inspiring and teaming with others locally and globally, taking action to make the world a better place.
